Eliud Kipchoge Plans to Challenge World Record at London MarathonBy Adam Kopet Race organizers for the Virgin Money London Marathon announced Sunday that Eliud Kipchoge will compete in the 2020 edition of the race.
Kipchoge is the world record holder in the marathon, having run 2:01:39 at the 2018 Berlin Marathon. He followed that this fall by breaking two hours in an exhibition race at the INEOS 1:59 Challenge. Kipchoge has announced he plans to challenge his own world record in London.
